    NFS Mount Options

    Description

    To improve the reading and writing of file troughout the file system, we recommand to apply specific mount options.

     

    Mount Option For LINUX Server : 

    For gigabit connections

    mount -t nfs -o vers=3,tcp,hard,intr,rwsize=32768 1.2.3.4:/ifs /mnt

    For 10GbE connections

    mount -t nfs -o vers=3,tcp,hard,intr,rsize=131072,wsize=524288 1.2.3.4:/ifs/mnt

     

    Mount options for Mac OSX server : 

     

    For gigabit connections

    mount -o vers=3,tcp,hard,intr,nolock,rwsize=32768 1.2.3.4:/ifs /mnt


    For 10GbE connections

    mount -o vers=3,tcp,hard,intr,nolock,rsize=131072,wsize=524288
